David Morris has spent 50 years at the forefront of the construction industry. His career is defined by a unique path that began with hands on technical mastery and progressed to executive leadership for one of the largest construction services firms in the United States. This depth of experience allows him to bridge the gap between complex engineering theories and the practical realities of a job site.

Executive Leadership and Innovation

Before launching his consulting practice, David served as the Director of Virtual Construction for EMCOR Construction Services from 2008 to 2016. In this role, he was responsible for directing the virtual construction activities and operations of 82 separate companies. His work was instrumental in:

Developing and drafting contract language for BIM and preconstruction services.

Creating and implementing best practices for MEP spatial coordination.

Establishing standard operating procedures that have been adopted as industry benchmarks.

David’s technical expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems has been applied to some of the most complex facilities in the nation. He has managed estimating and coordination for numerous research laboratories and healthcare facilities with values exceeding 100 million dollars each.

David is a respected voice in the professional construction community and maintains active memberships with the Associated General Contractors (AGC), the Construction Users Roundtable (CURT), and BuildingSmart. His commitment to the industry is further demonstrated by his work in modifying best practice guidelines for the AGC BIMForum, a project that captured ten years of practical, real-world methods.
